Louis Vuitton Tambour|A Watch That Has Stayed With Me

Louis Vuitton has been with me for many years.
A watch is meant to tell time, of course—but this one gradually became more than that. Over time, it became part of what I wear, and part of everyday life.
One of the things I love most about it is the interchangeable strap.
With the white strap, it feels clean and crisp. With the pale pink strap, it feels softer and a little more playful.
It’s the same watch, yet simply changing the strap changes the mood completely. That small transformation is part of what makes it so enjoyable to wear.
I still remember the experience of choosing it.
At the Louis Vuitton boutique, guests are welcomed with a glass of champagne or orange juice while browsing the collection.
There is no rush. You sit down, take your time, try things on, and enjoy the conversation. It feels less like shopping and more like enjoying the moment itself.
Luxury pieces often stay with us not only because of the object, but because of the atmosphere and memory attached to them.
Maintenance is recommended around every four years, which is not so different from many other watches. Louis Vuitton boutiques also accept it for service.
For something made to last, having a place where it can be properly cared for brings a certain peace of mind.
Today, I rarely see this model anymore.
That may be exactly why I want to keep wearing it—rather than storing it away—while continuing to care for it over time.
There is joy in discovering something new.
But there is also a different kind of beauty in keeping something for many years.
Objects begin to collect time, memory, and small pieces of life.
This Louis Vuitton Tambour is one of those pieces for me.
Things That Stay With Time|Louis Vuitton Tambour
Today, Louis Vuitton continues the Tambour collection with new designs.
The look has evolved, but the feeling of a watch made to be worn for years still remains.
There is joy in discovering a new watch. And there is joy in keeping one.
Perhaps that is part of the beauty of watches.
