Little Good Things From Food
Basil Lemon drink

Ingredients:

2 cups fresh basil leaves, tightly packed

1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
-
1/2 cup honey
-
4 cups water
-
Ice cubes
-
Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1. In a blender, combine the basil leaves, lemon juice, honey, and 1 cup of water.
2. Blend the mixture until the basil leaves are finely chopped and everything is well combined.
3. Pour the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into a large pitcher, pressing on the solids to extract all of the liquid.
4. Add the remaining 3 cups of water to the pitcher and stir well to combine.
5. Refrigerate the basil drink until it is chilled, about 1 hour.
6. To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled basil drink over the ice. Garnish with a bunch of fresh basil leaves.
7. This basil drink is a great way to enjoy the delicious and aromatic flavor of fresh basil, while also benefiting from its potential health benefits. It is also a great alternative to sugary drinks, as it is sweetened with honey and lemon juice.
Tips
• Adjust the sweetness to your taste by adding more or less honey.
• For a lighter and more refreshing flavor, add a little extra water.
• Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.

Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

Ingredients:

2 cups heavy cream

1 cup whole milk

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/4 tsp salt

1 cup fresh mint leaves, chopped

5 egg yolks
-
1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
Instructions:
1. Heat the cream, milk, sugar, vanilla, salt, and chopped mint leaves in a saucepan over medium heat until steaming.
2. Whisk the egg yolks until light and frothy, and gradually pour the heated cream mixture into the eggs while whisking constantly.
3. Pour the combined mixture back into the saucepan and cook over low heat until thickened.
4. Strain the mixture through a sieve, chill in the refrigerator, and churn in an ice cream maker with chocolate chips.
5. Freeze until firm and indulge in the cool and minty goodness!

• Cook gently over low heat, as overheating may cause the eggs to curdle.
• For a stronger, fresher flavor, feel free to add a little extra mint.
• If you don’t have an ice cream maker, stir the mixture once every hour while freezing to achieve a smoother texture.

Rosemary Drink

Ingredients:

1 cup fresh rosemary leaves

1/2 cup honey

1/2 cup fresh lemon juice

4 cups water

Ice cubes

Fresh rosemary sprigs for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1. In a medium saucepan, bring the rosemary leaves, honey, and water to a boil over medium-high heat.
2. Reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes until the rosemary is fragrant and the honey has dissolved.
3. Now, Remove your pan from the heat and let it cool to room temperature.
4. Strain the rosemary mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a large pitcher.
5. Add the lemon juice to the pitcher and stir to combine.
6. Refrigerate the rosemary drink until it is chilled, about 1 hour.
7. To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled rosemary drink over the ice.
8. Garnish your drink with the fresh rosemary sprigs
