These are the practices I have continued in order to remain true to myself.
It is not about suppressing my feelings.
It is about staying centered.
Being gentle, and being true to who I am.
Here, I share small practices that I have woven into my daily life to help bring balance to both body and mind.
Of course, I cannot do this perfectly 365 days a year.
During busy workdays, it sometimes shows on my face.
Still, many people say to me,
“Limi, you’re always the same, no matter what.”
To me, that is the greatest compliment.
Because in that moment, I feel that I am truly protecting my own energy.
Some people may see me as someone who never talks back. But I am simply protecting my energy.
To keep a gentle smile whenever possible. To avoid placing the weight of my emotions onto someone else.
This is not about suppressing my feelings. It is about staying centered.
About remaining kind, and staying true to who I am.
For better or worse, I tend to sense the atmosphere of a place very quickly.
Because of that, I can easily absorb the emotions and energy of the people around me.
That is why I have explored many different ways to stay centered and grounded.
If we are going to live this life, I would rather live it with a smile and a sense of ease.
And I hope the same for the people I care about.
With that in mind, I created this website to share the practices that have helped me.
If it can gently support even one person’s day in feeling more balanced and at peace, I would be truly happy.
Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy is a natural therapy that utilizes essential oils extracted from plants to balance the mind and body. By inhaling these scents, they stimulate the limbic system of the brain — the area that governs emotions and memory — or are absorbed through the skin, promoting relaxation and enhancing vitality.
I personally enjoy aromatherapy by adding essential oils to a diffuser.
At the same time, through my therapist training, I learned that there are moments when their use should be approached with care — and even avoided when necessary.
